My niece Lacey did this power point for a school project and the teacher submitted it into a national contest. She is only 13 years old and never used power point before. It is about her hero in life and that is her little sister Hunter. Most may not see the greatness in this video but when we watched it we all bawled! Its hard to watch a spirited young girl slowly die but like Lacey taught us, we can learn so much from her. Ok so you have to hit the 'View' button on the bottom of the page to actually read it.
So here's a brief a summary of Hunter's life. She was a normal child until the age of 3. By normal I mean she talked, was potty trained and etc. Then she started having seizures. We got mis-diagnosis after another. Finally, a year and a half later we found out she has Late infantile Battens Disease. She lost everything she knew how to do. A normal 3 years and now she couldn't talk, walk or anything normal. Basically to put it simply, her brain is rapidly aging. She grows at a normal pace, loses her teeth like all other children, but her brain is that of an 90 year old. She can't see, talk or walk. She can however hear. She was such a vibrate, active child and seeing her teaches me to not waste a moment. We never know how long we have or what we will be able to do. She truly is a hero to everyone who knows her. We love you Hunter!!!! And good job, Lace! We love the video you did!
