Zion's

Last weekend we took a little getaway to St. George. We woke real early to get a good start that day. We Lexi got up we told her we were going on a trip so she went to her room, got some PJ's, a swimsuit, undies, about 6 pairs of shoes and ALL her stuffed animals from her bed and stuffed them into a garbage bag. She came into the kitchen dragging the bag and said 'OK I'm all ready to go'.

We stopped in Holden- a nice half way point- and visited Jim's Grandpa, Uncle, Aunt and cousins. The kids LOVED IT! They feed the horses. Drove the tractor, held the baby kittens and tried to catch butterflies! They had sooo much fun! Thanks Brian and Kay for letting us stop for a couple hours.

When we finally made it to St.George we meet up with the Fawson's and got some In-N-Out Burger. It was Jim's first time, and he loved it!! Then we headed back to swim at the hotel pool. At first Ty hated it but soon he figured out how to splash people and loved it. Then he discovered the hot tub and we couldn't get him out of it.

GET ME OUTTA HERE!!!

I LOVE that Lexi can finally swim on her own. I made her use a noodle just in case though!

The next morning we woke up bright and early, since it was going to be so hot, and went and hiked some easy trails in Zions. It was so beautiful. This was my first trip there and I was stunned. It was gorgeous! We never went to southern Utah when I was young and I have vowed to take my kids at least once a year down there. Utah is so beautiful and diverse. I want them to grow up experiencing it all!
