What a slacker...

I am. I have been so busy reading about every one's busy and fun summer, that I haven't had time to update my blog. Every time I log in there are like 16 new posts from people! So here's a bit of what we have been doing around here the last 2 weeks.(This is going to be a long post with lots of pics, so continue if you dare)

We went wave running with my mom and dad and Jim's sister Lindsey and her 'friend' Larry. The only reason I mention we went wave running is because of the funny story involved. Lindsey and Larry decided to go out together on a WR. They then decided to switch drivers, while still in the middle of the lake.
Never a good idea. Well they sank our wave runner.

Jim and Ty- whom loves going out on them. And going fast

Lexi Playing on the beach.

So luckily, being the amazing man he is, Jim goes and pulls the WR to the shore, empties out the water and tows it back to the trailer. And some how he got it working again. Have I ever mentioned how handy my hubby is? He is so wonderful! Oh and Lindsey and Larry are OK too!

Next my SIL Nancy got her US citizenship!! It was so cool to go the swearing in and hear the amazing stories of these immigrants! CONGRATS NANCY! We are all so happy for you.

We planned a killer surprise party for Nancy! It rocked. We had about 50 people show up, so thanks to all those who came and made it so much fun. We were so good about keeping it a surprise! We even asked Nance if she wanted to go to 'out back' for dinner. That's we're we ate. Out back!

HA Love it.

Me with Amy! This is ones for you Christy!

I have been cherishing every moment with the loves of my life! They are so much fun and I am thankful for them everyday!

Ty eating his daily banana. It's a morning tradition

Lexi doing Kung Fu. After seeing Kung Fu panda

Love the messy face.

Mmmmm...

We went to The Cheesecake Factory for Dave and Marsha's Birthday! MMMM. That place rocks! I went there 5 days before with some friends. Cheesecake Factory 2 times in one week = happy Katey!

Ty may have OCD! He lines EVERYTHING up! He will take everything he can reach out of the fridge and line it up perfectly on the floor! This time he used cups and none of us noticed until we needed a drink!

We finished up 2 weeks worth of swimming lessons. Both kids did great! Lexi is now swimming on her own and diving under and collecting 3 rings at a time! Although she didn't pass the class because she is to chicken to float on her back! So we are going to try again in a couple of weeks!

We are no longer 1 of the 20 people left in American that don't own a LCD TV! Not that we even care, but now I have something to look at while running on my new treadmill. Thanks JIM!!!! I LOVE YA!

We finished Jim's office downstairs. New tile and paint. It looks great and he loves it.

We also got the play room painted and carpeted. I finished painting the tree (it's 7 feet tall) and order my sayings for the walls. But I still have a lot to do. That make bedroom #6 done in our house! All the bedrooms are done! That feels so good!

The kids love having a place to spread their toys out and play. But here's a question, if any of you have made it this far! How often should I make them clean their toy room? Lexi has regular chores she does everyday. I want them to enjoy their toy room and all but it's be 3 day and it's a disaster. So should they clean it daily, every other day, weekly? ANYONE have a suggestion?

I am sure I will be updating next week with the cousins spending it here with us! We are soooooo excited! Any one have suggestions on activities to take 5 kids to do? Someone had a post about a water fountain or something of that matter, in South Ogden. Any ideas where it's at?! Or anything else to go do with them. Ages 9-2!

Thanks!

Holy cow. This reminds me of my 'blogging until 2:30 am' night. It's hard when you miss so many days- too much to report! The USA party looked fun...kids are cute...tree is cute...love the TV...yea for swimming lessons being over...nice office...poor waverunner! There you have it. I think I covered all the bases! Sorry, that was lame, but I don't want to rewrite it. Have a good one!

Stacey

p.s. I would go with every other day on the toy cleaning.

Hey Katey - sounds like you guys are super busy... but in a fun way! The water place is called the Splash Pad in So. Ogden. It's right behind the Ogden Athletic Club off of Highway 89. We went and it was a BLAST - I think it would be a great FREE activity!

You suck for taking that pic of you and Amy! I am so jealous, but I'll be sure to take a pic with her and Kristina in November when I go to California for Kristina's baby shower! When are you coming here?!?!?!?

I'm so sorry that I missed the party for Nancy. I'm so glad you did that to help her celebrate!
