Day 1

Day 1 of what? Let's see.

Day 1 of being a single mom yet again, for another 2 weeks

Day 1 with my broken 4 year old, who all of the sudden is very clingy and dependent on me. She won't even go to the bathroom by herself

Day 1 of potty training Ty.

Did I take on to much at once. Probably.

The potty training so far today has been hilariously funny! Ty HATES being wet, so I knew he would hate being wet in undies.

I was right. Instead of peeing in his undies to just pulls them down and goes, where ever he may be standing. So he's got the general picture on what he should be doing.

Then I try to tell him to shot the Cheerios in the toilet when he needs to go potty. We are standing there talking about it and he says he's going to go pee. And he did. But this time he forgot to pull down his pants. In front of the toilet.

So now if we can just manage to get him to combined the first 2 actions, maybe we will be there soon!

The problem is, I am so anti-pull ups. It's cold turkey or nothing. But with Lexi's busy schedule and previous appointments I can't just sit at home until he trained! So we will have to venture into the pull ups later today. But for now, it's mopping up where ever Ty was standing.

If your wondering why I went cold turkey today, it's because I woke up this morning and realized we were out of diapers. As in, I didn't even have one to get him to the store in. And I had everything we needed to PT him. So rather than go get more, which would then prolong the process by a month and a half (the diapers last that long), I am being brave and going for it.

Wish me luck.

In other news, Ms. Lexi got her Hot PINK cast! (If I touch it, I have to pretend it's actually hot. As in, OUCH!,it burned me, hot)

It's really cute, and only slightly driving her nuts. And by slightly I mean, she asks every 20 minutes if it's time to go get it off. Should be a fun 6 weeks.

To say the least.

Here's some pictures of the girlie being eaten by a snake outside the Mayan after getting her cast on. I forgot how fun that place is for kids. Food sucks, but better than McDonald's.

And if you are LUCKY enough to see us (hear the sarcasm here?) before she gets her cast off, you will have the privilege of signing her cast,if you please.

*Since I am sure you can't read her shirt (it's very fitting for the occasion) it says 'BROTHER FOR SALE. NO OFFER TO LOW' Fits right?

PS. OPEN INVITATION TO ALL WHO WANT TO GO TO THE MAYAN FOR LUNCH. TOMORROW, WEDNESDAY, AT NOON. ERIN AND I WILL BE TAKING THE KIDS. PLEASE COME IF YOU ARE FREE. If you want to come comment me so we know how many are coming!

What, you don't like the divers or the cinnamon sugar things at the end? I like the divers.

Lucky that at least Ty somewhat cooperate--Hyrum doesn't care that he's wet and I can't have no diapers in the house since I think Sawyer's a little young for PT, though I wouldn't mind doing him, either.

HOLY COW - I missed the broken arm drama, but am so glad to hear that you all made it through! And if Ty is potty trained before Kel I may cry... I am having zero luck! We're actually on a hiatus because I was at my nerve's end!!

I'm back. Your comment motivated me. You've been busy with broken arms and potty training...you poor thing. We've been thinking about training Meg, but I get tired even thinking about it. I'd rather put up with diapers for another 6 months. Anyway, your blog is so cute. I love the fall theme. I better go...tonight is my 'leave a comment on everyone's blog, so they'll comment on mine' night. :) Have a great weekend!

Love,
Stacey
